UNIVERSAL MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
General Information
All of the supporting structure is universal in that there are no rights and lefts. The sunshade struts may go on either side and brackets likewise. The universal brackets can be installed in a multiple of positions; they may be rotated 180 degrees both front to back, inside to outside and put either on the back or front of the ROPS legs.

STEP1: Using the U-Bolts provided, mount the universal brackets to the ROPS so that the slotted flanges are a maximum of 34" apart. For ROPS under 30” wide mount the bracket flanges on outside. Flip brackets to the inside when ROPS is over 32”.

STEP 2: Mount struts to flanges. Use 5/16" bolts, washers, lock washers and nuts provided.

STEP 3: Place shell on top of struts and re-adjust brackets for desired head room. Make sure everything is level and where you want it. HINT: The strut has about 3/4“ front to back lateral movement in the slotted holes, if you need slight adjustment. Place a “C” clamp on each side in the middle while you drill the holes.  Bolts are not intended to go in the ridge areas. (SEE NOTE)

STEP 4: With shell located on struts drill (4) 5/16" holes using the holes in the struts as guides.
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GOOD CLEARANCE BETWEEN WHERE THE LARGE WASHER WILL BE & THE EDGE OF THE SHELL RIB BEFORE YOU DRILL.
Insert the 1/4" bolts as you go with the large washer on top of the shell. Insert the bolt up thru from the bottom side so that washers and nut are on the top of the shell.

STEP 5: When you have everything where you want it, tighten securely, but do not over tighten shell top bolts. DO NOT DEFLECT THE LARGE WASHERS WITH EXCESSIVE PRESSURE. THIS COULD FRACTURE THE PLASTIC.

Hint: For those that trailer. It is recommended that the shell be installed with the bottom horizontal to the ground or even nose down a little. This will allow the wind load to transfer more to the struts. With the shell top installed up above horizontal the load is carried by the washers and nuts on the top of the unit and cause failure of the plastic. Because of the many unknown variables it is still our recommendation that a cloth type tie down always be used over the top while in transport.
